Risks of Cesarean: Placental Abnormalities

As many women discuss placenta issues, they are often shocked to find out that their prior cesarean may be indicated in their current diagnosis.

Cesareans raise the risk for every known placental placement issue (percreta, accreta, abruption) without a real knowledge of why. It is also known that the risks rise with each prior cesarean, further endangering both the mother and any future babies she might have.
